Our apt building gives us one assigned parking spot, and for the other car we have to find an uncovered parking spot. Which of course are always full, so if I have a good spot I take Cam's car, since it's the one in the assigned spot (so I don't loose my spot). Tonight as i was heading out, I did just that, and boy was that a BAD decision. Why you might ask? Because Cameron's registration has been expired since December. We are in the mist of taking care of it...so I shouldn't be driving it because of how I drive. I'm not too conscious of speed limits.
So I'm driving in a construction zone where the speed limit is 25 - which I did not know. And I have this car kinda on my butt, well I turn right at the intersection and they follow, then I turn left into a shopping area...and they follow, for a split second I think I'm being followed, then the lights behind me start flashing!!! CRAP! I'm immediately aware of what car I'm driving!! Oh and of course Cameron's updated car insurance is at his desk...NOT in his car. So I'm driving around with an expired registration AND no proof of car insurance. great. AND out of habit when I put my car into park I immediately take of my seat belt, so as I see him walking up to my window I grab my seat belt to snap back on hoping he doesn't hear the click. He asks for my license and registration, I grab my license and as I hand it to him say...we're working on getting the registration...he says ok, be right back...20 long minutes later he returns and tells me some stuff I seriously do not understand, but I did pick up on a few things, like something expired April 2008 and if he wrote me up for speeding plus no proof of insurance plus expired registration I'd have a criminal record of some sort!! YIKES! Luckily the cop was SO nice that he didn't write me up for speeding. So now I have a court date, on which I won't even be here for. I'm suppose to contact someone about that but didn't understand that either!! AHHH! So, was it worth not loosing my parking space.....NO!! My car is 100% legal, all I would have gotten was a speeding ticket, maybe not even that!!
Wish Cam luck, he's driving that car to California in a few days...I'll be in my legal car!!

What a nightmare! That is seriously the worst feeling when you know "you've been caught". Good luck with everything.
