Isabel's Milestone!

For the last 2 1/2 years of Isabel's life she has slept with a pacifier and I'm SO proud to say today for the first time ever she slept without it :)  This is a big deal. =)  She is so very attached to her pacifier and would ask for it a lot but around 18 months we were able to mainly keep it in her room for naps and bedtime.  She called it her 'baba' and I'm pretty sure it was her best friend.  I've been very nervous about getting rid of it.  I didn't want her crying for hours for it but mainly I didn't want her to give up her naps.  And knowing me if that turned out to be the case, I'd probably let her sleep with it until she dropped her naps-even if that meant she'd be 4 :/  Anyways, I also learned that I may be more attached to the pacifier then she was!  Not only did she sleep great with it but it still made her seem like the baby in a way.  She's getting big so fast I'm sad to let go of some things.  I had to of course bribe her but I wasn't sure how.  We happen to see a commercial for a fisher price disney toy that she really wanted so I told her if she stopped sleeping with her pacifier then I'd buy it for her.  She was so excited she wanted to go to sleep that instant, it was like 9am :)  She kept telling me she didn't want her pacifier and that it was for babies haha.  Well I decided to wait until the next day to really try (that would be today), not having much hope, but lo and behold, she slept great at nap time with out it.  I'm so proud of her and I know that might sound silly but this is a huge deal!  She was also so proud of herself  I couldn't help but take a picture of her after her nap with her toys she earned.  We'll continue with bribes for another day or two, cause that's how we parent ;) and then she only has potty training to do until she's officially a 'big girl'.  Makes me a little sad but it'll be nice when we have another baby to have her out of these stages.
