Bailey is 1 month

We made it to 1 month!  It was touch and go for a while there ;)  I truly forgot how HARD newborns were, and it doesn't help that I'm naturally a lazy person; so getting back into Mom mode has been hard.  I didn't realize I was out of it =)  Each week gets better so I think we might make it!  Yippee!  We've had a lot of amazing people help us out, so thank you to you all!!  Anyways, on to Bailey.  So the first week and a half she was SO good.  She slept all the time; great day and night!  Hardly fussed, when we put her down she stayed asleep, happy when awake, hardly had to rock her to get her to sleep, etc.  Well she was also Jaundice which I didn't know can make a baby sleepy...so once the jaundice cleared up (and I stopped pumping) she did a 180.  She fussed and cried and wouldn't sleep and woke when we put her down, etc.  It was awful and I was so confused where this sleepy baby went.  Didn't realize the jaundiced played a big part but also she went on formula which she wasn't doing well with.  Super gassy and miserable.  I was afraid we had a colicky baby.  We switched to a different formula that was suppose to help this issue but it didn't help so I called my MIL's holistic doctor and he suggested switching to soy formula and giving her probiotics.  That night I went out and bought soy and we saw such an improvement right away!  I was so relieved!  Hardly gassy now and so much happier but I was also noticing that she was doing weird things after she ate with her mouth and throat and tongue.  She'd gag and make weird disgusted faces, etc.  At her 1 month apt I asked about reflux and they said it was definitely possible so now she is on medication for that.  She hasn't been on it long but I believe it's working.  She hasn't really done those things since.  So we are slowly getting this girl figured out.  It's so hard with a second, you assume they'll be like the first.  I never imagined I'd have to worry about a milk allergy or reflux.  Anyways, she seems to be doing so much better since those two things were figured out.  At her 1 month apt she weighted in at 9lbs 12oz and 22 inches.  She's about 50% for  weight, height, and head.

Some things about Bailey at 1 month:
She's a bad sleeper but I'm seeing some improvement...sometimes ;)
I think she's finally figuring out night and day
She's starting to loose the top of her head hair :(
She lost her umbilical cord at 1 week
She wants to be rocked/bounced asleep and it can take forever to do so.  She'll close her eyes finally and then pop them open again
She's starting to take a pacifier but not always
She's a loud sleeper!
She loves yiayia and papus house and seems to sleep the whole time we're there - must be the fresh air.
Isabel LOVES Bailey and always asks to kiss and hug her
She still fits in newborn clothes
Shes out of newborn diapers and into size 1
She needs to be swaddled when sleeping
Has had a strong neck since birth
Has been making cooing noised (not lots) for about 1 week now
Hates being strapped in car seat
She pretty much has a night schedule.  Sleeps about 9-1, eats, wakes again at 5, and usually goes back down til about 7; depends on how much she slept the evening before.
She's a light sleeper and if she's dosing off and hears Izzy's voice her eyes pop open


Isabel update:
She loves Bailey and always wants to kiss and hug her.  She even uses a baby voice to talk to her haha.  She's such a funny girl and you never know whats gonna come out of her mouth.  She asks a gazillion questions about EVERYTHING!  She's so curious and loves to talk.  She talks in one volume - LOUD.  can't get this girl to be quite for anything.  She's adjusting quite well to the new addition.  She does ask me to put Bailey down a lot and asks me why she cries and sleeps a lot haha.  She can't wait for Bailey to be bigger so they can play together.  Isabel is going to be 3 this month! I can hardly believe it.  Seems like not long ago I was complaining about how hard she was as a newborn ;)  It's so nice to see they grow out of it.  She's overall a great child but has her moments.  She fights us on almost everything and wants to do a lot of things by herself.  Independence is great but only when they truly know how to do things.
